Just how many excuses can I make?

It’s been a busy day.
It’s too late.
It looks like it’s going to rain.
I’ll go tomorrow night.
It’s too hot out.
That is just fraction of the list of things I tell myself on the nights I don’t run. The nights I don’t run are starting to outnumber the nights I actually do. I should be done with the 9-week Couch to 5k program but yet I still have week nine to complete.
It’s just sitting there on the app on my phone daunting me. Three runs away from being finished. Three runs away from a full 30 minute run that should equal about three miles worth of pavement behind me. & yet I just can’t seem to get motivated enough to put it behind me.
Let me just get one more excuse out of the way: the week ahead is going to be pretty busy so I can’t promise I’ll accomplish this goal of mine this week either. I’m going to try to run at least two nights this week though, tonight being one of them. Okay, maybe tomorrow.
Tonight I decided to try out another new app & with it dusted off my bicycle and took it for a spin. Yes, you heard me right. I don’t remember the last time I touched that thing, let alone, rode it. It’s true the saying about once you learn to ride a bike you never forget. What I did forget however was what a workout it can be. Seriously, let me just say holy thighs & butt batman. They are going to be sore tomorrow. But I guess that’s a good thing!
As far as the weight loss goes I’m feeling good. I’ve switched from using WW to track points because I’m tired of paying for something I can pretty much get for free. I’ve joined myfitnesspal.com and downloaded the app to my phone, too. It counts calories rather than points and I actually saw more loss this past week using it than I have in a single week with WW lately. I’m down to about 125 lbs but can fluctuate anywhere from 123.5-127 on any given day. Why is it that that happens? It’s pretty frustrating. Albeit, in the bigger scheme of things I’m totally happy with what I’ve accomplished, but those last five pounds have started to really pester me.
Any tips on keeping weight from fluctuating so?

try switching up your meals to get those last 5 pounds off. Eat a bigger breakfast or lunch, and a smaller dinner. Sometimes your metabolism gets used to something… also, try different fruits/veggies than the ones you are currently eating 🙂

I am having a lot of luck using sparkpeople.com. Tracking my diet and exercise is really helping me make better decisions and after losing 4lbs last week, I am more motivated than ever. And trust me, I HATE exercise. But it's true what they say… a body in motion stays in motion. I find that when I get done with one workout, I am antsy to do more!

I'm having the same problem. I'm getting bored with my workout, then losing steam in stayin on the wagon, then getting frustrated because I'm fluctuating so much and not really losing. So right now I'm trying to change up my routine a bit to see if that helps. I also just added MyFitness Pal!
