Teacher Appreciation Week 2011
by TwinkieTotMom on May 4, 2011
Today is Teacher Appreciation Day. Do you have kids in school? Did you know that?
Well, if you missed it, it’s not too late. The first week in May is considered Teacher Appreciation Week…so go ahead and get something planned before the end of the day Friday. If your child’s teacher is anything like me (a fellow teacher) a simple card with a few words of gratitude will do just fine.
But…if you are looking for something a little more than that, here’s an idea. Tucker will be taking these to his teachers tomorrow. Yes. Tucker, who only goes to school one half-day every week, is taking a gift to his teachers. Because we totally appreciate teachers in this household!
It’s super easy & all you need is an in-expensive frame, a big box of crayons, scissors, a little hot glue, and a printer. I’m not going to give the step-by-step details because I think you can figure it all out from the materials listed above. I will tell you though, I just hot glued the crayons right to the glass…it worked amazingly!
I’ve seen these on quite a few blogs & Pinterest so I don’t know where to give credit…but let me just tell you, credit is due! So bravo if it was you!
Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! So what did you do for your teachers this week?

These are seriously so cute. I may have to make myself one for my classroom lol.

What a wonderful idea! Thanks for sharing. I am horrible, I am behind on doing anything for teacher appreciation. However, you just inspired so I think I am going to do this tonight!

Those are SO cute! I've done this in the past with colored pencils, but these seem a lot easier!
I remember seeing someone do something similar last year and I was just thinking about it the other day. I thought this would be perfect for a child's bedroom too!
that looks easy enough. thanks.
This is so cute! My sister is going back to work next year after being a stay at home mom for the last five years…I think this would look great in her Preschool Classroom
Hi Heather! GREAT IDEA!! I showed a friend of mine and she asked "how much would she charge to make me one?". Maybe something for your Etsy store? If you do, let me know how much and I know you will have 1 order right off the bat.
I'd love for you to link up at Inspire Me Mondays! It's up all week!
