Momma Fancies

MommaFancies

This week’s edition of Momma Fancies is going to be dedicated to all things creative.

  • First up is actually a recipe though I guess. When I spotted it I thought, “Mmmm, I have to make this!” It’s a Starbucks Frappuccino knock-off recipe, so really, anyone who can make a knock-off of something that yummy has got to be creative. Paige from Pink Lemonade seems to do an awesome job of creating a yummy (& I’m sure much more calorie friendly) treat in her own kitchen.

  • Next is from a guest post I read over at Someday Crafts. Amanda from Little B took her opportunity as a guest on Michelle’s awesome blog to share how to turn a photograph into a painted work of art. It’s a little step-heavy but seems to be fairly doable for event he less crafty out there! I think I’m totally going to have to try this with baby pictures of my three!

  • You all know the girls celebrated their second birthday just a few weeks ago. Well, another blogger I follow is the proud momma of a little girl born just days before ours. Mrs. F of As the Forest{e} Grows always does a great job throwing one heck of a party, even if it is for a two-year-old. This year her daughter Gianna enjoyed a Sesame Street themed park party. There are just so many great finishing touches, I absolutely love it all!

  • IMG_6202We recently got our backyard in gear (well, mostly) for some outdoor entertaining and when I saw this Rustic Table How-To I knew instantly it was something I might just have to try this fall! Sarah of Thrifty Décor Chick (ok, the name of the blog alone explains how awesome her crafts & projects must be!) goes step-by-step with lots of photos and makes it look super simple!

  • Last, but not least, is the cutest little owl pillow (that I’m totally going to have to make for my girls’ room obviously!) from Kara at Mine for the Making. She created the pattern from scratch after getting inspired by her expecting friend’s nursery theme. What a lucky momma to be receiving a gift like this at her upcoming baby shower!
