Sweet as can be & a decision made…

At the beginning of August I co-hosted a baby shower for my best friend, Marcie. You know, the one whose pregnancy I’ve been vicariously living through on this blog since I started blogging well after both of my own pregnancies.

Well I never really shared all of the cute little things I created for Miss Olivia with you. I found a ton of ideas on Pinterest & some great tutorials (like those adorable baby booties…yes, I made those & they were actually a lot easier than I originally suspected!). I cannot wait to see this little girl wearing all of these ruffles & flowers (and I just may be pinning for another little girl of my own to make some ruffle butt onesies for as well!).

As I was sewing all of these I kept thinking, “What great stuff to add to my shop!” but have since made a big decision. My shop is closed until further notice.

I’ve felt pulled in all directions lately and something had to take a backseat. I’ll still sew for fun & for friend’s babies and such, I just can’t do it on demand for orders right now.  Maybe when I feel caught up on life (does that ever happen!?) I’ll open up again.

  1. Glad you’re doing what’s best for you! I have a hard time knowing what priorities to focus on. Those baby gifts are adorable!!! I LOVE the ruffled onsies. 🙂

    • Yes, it is what is best for us right now…maybe one day I’ll be able to find time for it but right now I just can’t seem to find those extra hours in my day! Aren’t the ruffle butts the cutest though?! Pure love!

    • Trust me, although we are semi-certain we are done (and I would love to have a second boy if we ever had more kids) those ruffle butt onesies make my ovaries ache for another little girlie as well! They are just too cute for words!

Those are all so cute. I’ve never seen handmade shoes before.

I understand your decision to close the shop. It’s hard to keep up.

    • It is so hard to keep up! Ugh! Aren’t the shoes so cute? I really thought they would be hard, but for as tiny as I had to make them, they really weren’t that hard to do! I just hope when my friend puts them on her baby they stay on (at least long enough for some pictures! ha!)

I love all of Olivia’s stuff but I’m sad about the closing down part. I was going to be placing an order for a friend soon 🙁
