I just can’t stop.

Mike and I went to visit the new little family last night. I got to hold Olivia much longer than I did the night she was born, you know I’ve gotta get my baby fix in when I can, especially when it’s a baby that is so special to me.

Olivia is so precious and Marcie and Ryan are doing such a great job as her parents. They went home this evening. Any of you that are parents yourself know that tonight is when the real fun begins. I remember our first night home with Tucker like it were yesterday.

I remember bringing him to his room to show it to him and putting him in his crib for a few minutes just to see him in it. I remember getting ready for bed that night, with him swaddled and in the pack n play at the foot of our bed. Mike and I just watched him sleep for what seemed like forever. We were so nervous to go to sleep ourselves, because as first time parents, how can you ever get through a night without the nurses coming in to check on you or be there to answer every silly question you have about taking care of a baby? Like all newbie parents, we made it through and I know Marcie & Ryan will, too.

I can’t wait to hear all about their first night home and to watch them in this new chapter of their lives! I just can’t stop being so thrilled for my best friend, her husband, and their daughter!

  5. A baby will make love stronger, days shorter, nights longer, bankroll smaller, home happier, clothes shabbier, the past forgotten, and the future worth living for
