We had a great Thanksgiving and have been enjoying all of this time together the last few days. I sort of forgot about blogging (I know, gasp!) these last few days because I was just too busy enjoying.
After cinnamon rolls for breakfast Thursday morning, and a little pecan pie baking, we headed over to my aunt & uncle’s house for Thanksgiving with my family. There was lots of nibbling on appetizers, turkey frying, guy’s fishing, Black Friday ad scouring, and plain family fun as we waiting for the food to be ready. After filling our bellies with all of the yummy goodness, we sat around talking, playing a little Apples to Apples, and then finally set our sights on dessert.
Late that afternoon, we packed up the kids and heading to Mike’s sister’s house to finish of the holiday celebrating. Mike had another round of food, while the kids played with their cousins and the rest of us sat around talking and enjoying the cooler weather that had set in.
P.S. Here’s a look back at Thanksgiving 2010…I always love seeing how the kids grow & change from year to year!
And before I forget (we may or may not be in full Christmas mode now that Thanksgiving has come & gone…but I promise not to abandon my 30 Days of Thankfulness on day 26 just because I’m ready for a little holly jolly Santa & birth of baby Jesus talk)…
