On Tuesday morning, we attended the Osceola County March of Dimes Kick-Off Breakfast!
It was a great morning spent with some amazing sponsors from our county that were there to get pumped up for this great event. If you remember, we announced a while back that we are the 2012 Osceola County Ambassador Family.
The breakfast was sponsored by Chick-Fil-A (yum! The kids loved it, of course!) and there were a ton of Publix team captains from our area, along with K-Mart and others as well. Our local March of Dimes Director, Kathy Pierson headed up the event along with the Executive Director for our area, Betty Stuart. Jim Lentz and George White, the co-chairs of the event were in attendance as well and took turns sharing all the important information March of Dimes has to offer.
I shared our testimonial as well, giving an insight into just why we participate in March of Dimes every year.
We finally got to see this year’s event brochures & posters, with our story & pictures on them! The kids got a kick out of seeing us in print (& so did Mike & I…haha!)
We left that morning ready to start our fundraising for the event as well! Our team page is up & running for this year’s event along with the new sidebar ticker on the blog. Our goal for this year is $1000 and I’m really hoping that with your help we will make it happen!

I love it! I also love Kathy Pierson, her son Mike, is one of my swimmers, and I’m pretty sure Jim Lentz is one of my former swimmer’s step-father! Small world! Kathy is great and will do great by you! I hope I have a chance to support you in the endeavor!
Are you going to do a collection at the schools? Is there any way to get that headed up?

Such a great cause. I would love to walk with you guys but will be 38 week pregnant so cannot make a commit right now but will do when it get closer.
