Friday seems to always sneak up on me. Last night, I attended the 5th grade talent show at my school (see poster below), which got me home a little later than usual (like, about 3 hours later) so I’m dragging this morning. I was out late Wednesday night, too…met up with some of my girlfriends because our friend Julie was in town for the week. Which means I’m really dragging this morning after two nights out in one school week. & did I mention? Spring break for me this coming week! I’d be more excited if my kids actually slept passed 6 am, but I am looking forward to a week off with them.
The lovely dishes above? Saw them at Target during my date night with Tucker. I’m in love. Something Blue? Read it in one day. I really want to see the Something Borrowed movie now. Maybe I’ll get around to renting it this week. Strawberries totally cancel out the ice cream & chocolate syrup, right? Tucker got to stay up late on Friday night, so we snuck in a momma & daddy & me picture.
I remembered to take pictures for 10 on 10 on Saturday. Did you see the post of our relaxing day at home? Sunday was the opposite of our gorgeous weather on Saturday, rainy & dreary all day long. We went to a birthday party that day for friends of ours twin sons. These friends went to high school with us and have identical twin boys. Another friend of ours from high school had twin girls almost two weeks ago. Yes, something must be in the water here.
My sweet girlies are babies no more. Seriously, whend did they grow up? I loved the outfits they wore to the birthday party. I actually wish I had a matching one 😉 Chinese? Yes, please! I had been craving it for the past two weeks. On Monday I made homemade chicken nuggets (the girls loved, Tucker wasn’t so sure, of course). I attempted making cauliflower tater tots, which ended up in cauliflower “mashed potatoes”. I actually really liked them (Mike, not so much).
Another post you should check out on the blog from this past week? My first preemie feature story in honor of the upcoming March for Babies walks! The Wilkerson twin are adorable & their story is so touching. Check it out & donate towards a great cause if you can! We took the girls for fro-yo one night this week while Tucker stayed at Nana & Paps house and rode his bike around the block. My mom said he didn’t stop talking for one single second. He’s such a ham!
I camped out in one of the first grade rooms yesterday while my intern was being observed by her coordinator. I miss first grade on days like yesterday, they were on a field trip to see the Lorax! How fun is that!? I wouldn’t trade 4th for 1st though. I really love fourth. Drinks & sushi? Those mean girls night out. It was so fun to get together, even if it was a schoool night. The poster? Remember I mentioned the 5th grade talent show? This was a poster for the consessions. I guess we know what their mom’s drink at night…soda in a wine glass?!
My sweet Tucker. This was yesterday morning before I dropped him off at school. They were having a St. Patty’s Day party. You know my boy loves a good party!
