WIWW: Faking it.

DSC_1351

Last Monday I decided to fake it.

I put on a nice blouse & some fancy heels and acted the part.

You know, the part of the teacher who isn’t counting down the seconds until the last day of school

The teacher who isn’t procrastinating when it comes to grading papers & turning in end-of-the-year data.

The teacher who is in desperate need of her semi-SAHM status to go into full effect come summer.pleated poppy

Did it work?

Not one bit, but at least my outfit was cute. Oh & my heels? They gave my big toe a blister. Ugh.

Super cute outfit. I used to be a high school teacher so I know exactly how you feel. Not much longer!!!!!

  4. As a mom to five, three in school I just wanted to leave a comment to say THANK YOU – even though I can only imagine how much it must suck to be a school teacher, most days, for the sake of whatever sweet (or not so sweet) kids you teach. Thank you. A great teacher has meant the difference between me pulling out my hair and biting my tongue and waiting for the next school year when hopefully we’ll have someone better. It means my kids are actually interested in completing their projects and have something to talk about after school. So thank you – and you look darling. Hope you have a wonderful summer break.
