Some of you probably wonder why I show you what I wear every week.
The purpose set forth by Lindsey of The Pleated Poppy (host of WIWW) was to originally get her SAHM self out of t-shirts & sweatpants and into actual clothes.
I’m not a SAHM (even though in about 3 weeks I’ll be taking over my semi-SAHM status!) and therefore do change out of my pjs each morning in order to head into work. However, there have been many times over the last few years (think carrying & giving birth to three kids in less than three years) when I just haven’t felt like I put my best foot forward, so to speak.
When I started linking up with Lindsey’s WIWW, I started really thinking about the outfits I was putting together and just how I could get better use out of the pieces I owned. & then I started teaching fourth grade this year and I felt sometimes like I needed to step it up with it came to my attire due to the fact that some of my “kids” are just about as big as I am. Making sure they saw me as their teacher meant make sure I dressed the part.
Outfit 1– It was a super hot day & I changed out of my work clothes before having Mike snag this picture of me. I had been wearing my black skinny jeans from Target until I swapped them for these khaki shorts from Old Navy. This Aztec-y(?) top is from JCPenny and one of my favs.
Outfit 2– Top: Old Navy (super sheer & already has a tiny hole towards the bottom on the front, therefore I must now tuck in any time I want to wear it) Skirt: I think Target, Belt: Bealls Outlet, Sandals: About 3 or even 4 years ago from Target. I loved the idea I had to belt this skirt, I need to look through my closet & see what else I can do something similar to this with!
P.S. Please take two seconds and help us move up on the Circle of Mom’s Top 25 Mom’s of Multiples! If everyone who visits today from WIWW were to vote, we’d probably move up under the top 10! Thanks!
