My name is Athena from The Stuff of Success and I am visiting Heather at Life as we know it… today. This is a great opportunity and I love Life as we know it with Two Twinkies & a Tater Tot because Heather’s site has so many inspirational ideas.
At the campground we spend a significant amount of time outside – in the dark. There are no streetlights in the campground, and you rely on flashlights etc… We don’t allow our kids to run around unsupervised but we don’t assume they are safe all the time either. So this little project was easy and hopefully will add to their safety. It was such a popular project I had kids standing in line waiting to get theirs.
I went to Home Depot and picked up some large washers (I was picking them up for a different project and came up with another idea). I then grabbed some reflective tape and some of the Velcro straps (the kind that you use to wrap up cords and keep them neatly together) – in assorted colors.
This then became the kids reflector watch. The Velcro ties are just long enough to wrap around a normal sized adult or child wrist. As soon as it turned dark, the kids all had them on.
Heather – thank you so much for having me over at Life as we know it with Two Twinkies & a Tater Tot! Other projects of interest at The Stuff of Success include:
