Growing up is hard to do.

copyThe girls have been going to school for a little over a month now and it’s getting better each week.

Well, Lexie has been fine since the start. She’s just like Tucker. Loves school and cannot wait to get there each Wednesday. Speaking of, Tucker actually asked me today when summer would be over so he can go back to school. That’s my boy!

Lilah, on the other hand, is more clingy. She’s cried every time I’ve dropped her off minus today. Today she shed a few single crocodile tears as she tried to hold the flood gates back. The good thing was that we were so busy telling Ms. Carmen & Ms. Pam about her big news that she was able to keep her mind off of the mom-leaves-me-here part.

copy3Even though Lilah as some separation issues with the whole school thing, they say she does perfect while there and afterwards she always tells me how much she likes school, with a big grin on her face. She really has the sweetest teachers so I know that is why she takes to it so well once I’m gone.

I really cannot believe that the girls will be three in less than two weeks. Three years can pass by in the blink of an eye. From these pictures you can obviously tell that growing up is so hard to do.

It is so amazing how different the girls are but at the same time so wonderful. It is great they are able to both do well even if the drop off makes strides every week. Enjoy the two weeks of two year olds and know that three holds so much I am sure of it. Plus I am pretty sure you will be throwing them one heck of a celebration as they become such amazing young ladies!

Aw! Your kids are too cute. I know my daughter will do well when she goes to school, I’ll be the one with crocodile tears and separation anxiety.

  3. My daughter will be starting Kinder this year, and I cannot believe how fast she has grown up. I must admit I am a little scared becuase she will not be 5 until a couple of months after starting school. I sometimes wondered if she is starting too early. But that is another story. Your kids looks so peaceful sleeping.
I think I am the one having separation anxiety and not her.
