SUYL: Foyers

Foyers are up this week on the home tour. I’ve made a few simple changes in our foyer since the last time I shared pictures, but these simple changes have made a big impact.

The walls have been painted a smidge darker, the kids hallway is now laced with the same stripes our bedroom has, and a new hook for bags has been added as well. With a few other decorating touches it really has come together well. When I looked back at the old post, I realized that it has a much warmer & more welcoming feel compared to before.

The hooks on the wall has got to be my favorite addition. A few months back I got Mike to just screw a few pieces of wood up, it started out just on the side of the foyer and a few weeks later I had him wrap it around that wall to continue to the kids hallway. We have way too many bags in this house and I needed more hooks to hold them! The hooks themselves are actually just hardware knobs from Home Depot.

  1. I love the hooks that you have, I was thinking that I need to do something like that at my house. With my daughter starting school I need to provide her with a place for her backapack and I love what you did.
I may have a piece of wood that I have have cut at home depot, I can paint it and just buy the door knobs like you did. Thank you for the inspiration.
