I guess Mike is not the worst photographer ever.
This one was taken by Tucker. & while the focus factor is totally off, I actually am digging his point of view.
He walked around the house taking various pictures after Mike took a few of me for my WIWW post.
Please, pay no attention to my hair in this, although it is what it looks like most days during summer. I’ve been on a let-it-dry-on-its-own-and-throw-a-headband-in-it kick lately. Probably not the most fashionable look but in a few weeks when I’m back to styling it every day for work I’ll be longing for these days again.
So, before I talk about my outfit, notice my super GORGEOUS cabinets in the background?! Yes…you are getting a little sneaky peek of the almost finished product. Well, the cabinets are now completely finished (tops & bottoms) minus the hardware on the bottoms. Tucker and I will be picking those up today.
As I type, a coat of black primer is on the countertops against the far wall of the kitchen. We’ve decided to wait on spending the big bucks on solid surface counters & try out Giani Granite instead. I’ve seen a TON of blog reviews & even follow someone on instagram who said she LOVES the stuff. I figure we spend $70 and try this out and possibly save thousands if we like it.
The counters closest to me in the pictures (where the bar area is) will not be started until next week because Mike has some demo work to do there. I got the crazy idea of lowering our counter top to the height of all the others after seeing this on Liz’s blog. Isn’t it amazing how much more counter space there is after they knocked the bar down?! I can’t wait!
Outfit: Top: Old Navy, Shorts: Target, Sandals: Target. Simple, yet the pop of color in the shorts makes it perfect for summer. Wish I had a necklace to go with this outfit though.
The rest of Tucker’s photo shoot pictures? Here ya go.
