Yesterday I shared the recipe for homemade fabric softener. Today, using leftovers from that HUGE batch of fabric softener, you can make “dryer sheets” as well.
Dryer sheets are probably what I buy & use the least when it comes to laundry. It’s just one of those “extras”, you know, something you don’t NEED in order to have clean clothes. I like having this recipe, because it is super easy & makes having dryer sheets available to me when I normally might not have them.
What you need? 3 cups water, 1 cup homemade fabric softener, 1 sponge, 1 pretty jar (again, gotta love Ikea).
What you need to do? Mix the water & fabric softener together in a large bowl (using a whisk, again) until well blended. Pour into your jar, drop in your sponge, and you are done. When you are ready to throw a load in the dryer, just squeeze the sponge out so it is damp and throw in the dryer. Isn’t that super simple?!
Price breakdown? Less than $1.65, the cost of the sponge was $0.96 and by using a cup of the already made homemade fabric softener you are using just dimes worth I’m sure. & this stuff will last a long time.
