Momma & Me Monday: 1st Thanksgiving Feast

Not the first Thanksgiving feast you may be thinking of (Pilgrims, Indians, circa 1621).

Tucker had his first school Thanksgiving Feast, one where the parents are invited to share in the fun, last week. He sang & danced to a song, wore an Indian feathered hat on his head, and said a few prayers before we feasted.

The tables were covered with center pieces they made in class & the food was quite tasty for a pre-k Thanksgiving dinner.

For some reason, Tucker wasn’t quite feeling the Thanksgiving thankfulness that day. He was quite cranky & took a nice long nap for my mom that afternoon. I guess that’s what happens when you are dealing with kids. Not everything goes exactly as you plan.

Oh well, maybe next year.

  1. That’s fun. I volunteered last year for my daughter’s T’giving party at school.

The parties always start out with the best of intentions, but I really think it’s super overwhelming for kids to have their parents/relatives at school..they can’t decide how to act.

Glad you got some cute pictures with them!
