Our Home at Christmas: The Dining Room.

Yesterday I shared our kitchen at Christmas, & today I’m sharing our “dining room” This is not an official dining room, we really don’t have an official dining room space in this house, but this works for us. We don’t ever do “formal” dining anyway.

There are some big differences in this room, especially as of late. I just re-did the curtains (a tutorial post to come on just what I did) and repainted the table & benches (tutorial on that soon, as well). You can see what this room looked like last year, here.

That dresser on the far wall is still a work in progress. I just bought it off Craigslist and am going to refinish it. That wall used to hold some pictures my friend Kelly took of us shortly after we bought this house, but I was ready for a change.

I think the bunting hanging above the curtains is one of my favorite holiday decorations this year. They are hung here and on the playroom (that room will be next on my list of rooms to share this holiday season) curtains.

I love how much brighter this room, and many of the other rooms in our house has become this past year. A lot of my inspiration comes from other blogs & of course, Pinterest.

These are the prints that are above the dresser (that will become a sideboard of sorts once refinished). I found all of them as free shares on Pinterest and had them printed at Staples in 16×20 size ($6.99 each). Then I bought poster frames (I eventually might find some nicer frames) for about $5 each at Walmart. I figure with each holiday or season (or just whenever I feel like it) I can have new prints made since they were so cheap and change them out.
