One of our favorite things to do on a Saturday or Sunday morning, is make a yummy breakfast to enjoy. Sometimes it’s a full on feast—eggs, bacon, toast, & hash browns. Other times it’s a little more simple. Like cinnamon roll donuts. Mmmm.
What do you need? A can of refrigerator cinnamon rolls, coconut oil, frying pan, biscuit cutter (or something that can make a small circle), and paper towels.
What do you need to do? Put about a cup of coconut oil into the frying pan and set to medium high. Open the cinnamon roll container, take out all of the rolls and use the biscuit cutter to gut holes in each roll while the oil is heating up. Once the oil is hot (if you sprinkle a drop of water in it, it should sizzle when ready) place the donuts & holes into the frying pan. You only need to cook for about 30 seconds-1 minute on each side. As soon as you see them turn golden, take them out & place on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
How do you eat? You can serve as is, or you can frost with the icing that comes in the cinnamon roll can.
