Tomorrow is the last day of school. Well, last student day for me (we’ve got Friday for post-planning but teachers never count a day without students as a real day especially when it’s the last day before summer vacation!).
But tomorrow is the last day for my own kiddos as well. Tucker graduated pre-k today (more to come later, of course) and is now officially ready for kindergarten! & the girls will finish their first year in school tomorrow before they head off to pre-k next year. It’s been an amazing year, lots of growing & learning & all at the speed of light.
I’m ready to get tomorrow in the books. I’m ready to wake up Saturday morning feeling the weight of the school year off my shoulders with not a care in the world in regards to schedules & routines. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a total planner and by the end of summer I’m always yearning for schedules & routines, but Saturday morning (or even this coming Monday morning while so many others are facing their usual Monday morning blues) I certainly will not.
So, here’s to one more day, to day number 180 on the books of my just over seven years of teaching.
