I’m a quote girl. I remember in middle school checking out books from the library that had inspirational quotes in them and writing down all my favorites in journals. & then in high school, when AIM was all the rage and having an away message up was the cool thing to do, picking out the perfect quote to put on and show just how I was feeling was my favorite thing to do. Today? Stop by my Pinterest board dubbed, “what I’m reading” and you can find just about every quote that has ever caught my eye.
But the quote that I live by? A quote I learned from one of the most special women in my life?
Sweet, simple, & to the point. My grandmother has lived her life by this quote for as long as I’ve been alive (and even longer than that I’m sure). When life gives you lemons? Offer it up. When the going gets tough? Offer it up.
When my grandpa would be in one of his moods that my grandmother swore was because of the full moon? She’d offer it up.
No matter how perfect your life is, there are always going to those moments when you feel at a loss. You just aren’t sure what to do, where to go, or who to turn to. Those are the moments when my grandmother’s quote pops in my head and I remember that I just need to offer it up because God knows what he’s doing even if we don’t.
