A good, good break.

The life of a teacher has it’s perks. When we spend so much of our time, money, & energy on teaching the youth of today (and sometimes always feeling under appreciated) having our little breaks from the classroom are so very welcomed.

A week off at Thanksgiving (which not all districts do, sorry Marcie!) is just what us teacher’s need after about 70 days with a classroom full of children under our wings. This break was a very casual one for us. Mike had to work nights because his job is behind a little and having a crew work at night helped get things done a little bit faster. We enjoyed having him home with us during the days (even though he had to go into work for meetings a few times, downfall of being in charge sometimes).

We spent a lot of time in pjs, having tea parties, eating bagels (or donuts!) & drinking coffee for breakfast. We did baking & wore cute comfy clothes on the cool weather days that we enjoyed this past week. & Lexie finally got her cast off! These pictures capture mostly the start of our break because I meant to write this post sooner in the week.

But mostly, these pictures are just a little glimpse of what we’ll be doing again in, oh, another three weeks from now! Bring on Christmas Break, we are already ready for you!
