Elf on the Shelf: Chalkboard wall fun.

ElfontheShelfChalkboard

The other night, Steve (our Elf on the Shelf), left the kids a fun surprise on the chalkboard wall in the playroom. I had seen something similar to this (the reindeer antler part) on Pinterest and knew I wanted to do that to our chalkboard wall. & then the idea to incorporate Steve & his Christmas magic in on it hit me. The kids thought it was super silly when they saw it in the morning and the first thing Tucker did that afternoon when we got home from school was put on the red nose & smile silly for me. & of course, the girls followed suit.

Oh, & yes, I realize I spelled Rudolph wrong. Forgive my brain when I do these things sometimes since it’s always late at night. A friend on facebook, who is also a teacher, reminded me I have an emerging reader on my hands and having the ‘f’ at the end makes it easier for him to read on his own. So, lets just pretend I did it on purpose for that very reason Winking smile.
