Turning 30.

Nope, not me. Not for another 9 months, at least.

I’ve got the next nine months to soak up my last year in my twenties but my loving husband turned the big 3-0 today (& I’ve been rubbing it in a little too much I’m afraid, I will have to watch out come November).

We’ve actually had a great weekend celebrating his big day. On Friday night the kids stayed at my in-laws while Mike and I had dinner at 4 Rivers, the most amazing barbeque ever. We then headed home to start watching Harry Potter, on whichever one we had last remembered leaving off, to gear up for a day spent at Universal to ride the Harry Potter ride.

However, we woke up Saturday to overcast, fog, & rain. As much as we wanted to check out the Harry Potter stuff at Islands of Adventure (Mike worked on that project but has never had the chance to experience it since it was built) spending the day soaked wasn’t something we were looking forward to doing. We ended up getting breakfast at Cracker Barrel & then heading over to Downtown Disney to do Disney Quest for the day. The last time we had been there was high school, and it was fun being kids for the day.

We then ran to Target (where I snagged up some amazing stools for a great deal…pictures to come!) for some Starbucks treats and shopping before heading to pick up the kids.

Today we celebrated with Mike’s family at lunch & bowling. The kids have been dying to go bowling since our first time going over the winter break. We all had fun & Mike’s Grandpa was the big winner with quite a few spares & strikes under his belt by the end!

Happy birthday, Mike! You make 30 look good!
